Watercolor & Colored Pencil

Detail Meets Depth — Precision in Color and Texture

I love mixing watercolor and colored pencils—it’s like giving my drawings a soft dreamy base and then adding little whispers of detail on top. The watercolor flows freely, and the colored pencils let me draw every whisker on my cat or the sparkle in an eye. It takes time, and sometimes my hand gets tired, but I don’t mind. This combo feels like teamwork: one part calm, one part careful. And together, they help me bring my quiet ideas to life—one layer at a time.

This was the first painting I created in the studio — a cat painting I made in February 2024.
